Bugatti Baby Spyder

The Bugatti Baby Spyder was a 2001 design proposal created by the Italian coachbuilder Zagato. Conceived as a stylistic tribute to early Bugatti models, the project sought to reinterpret the marque’s classic forms through contemporary design language. The concept remained purely at the design stage and was never developed into a functional prototype, nor associated with any specific engine or mechanical platform. Intended primarily as an aesthetic study, the Baby Spyder illustrated Zagato’s approach to blending traditional craftsmanship with modern automotive proportions and materials. No production or engineering work followed the proposal, and it is understood that only design renderings were completed. The Bugatti Baby Spyder is therefore regarded as a conceptual exercise, representative of early 21st-century design explorations within the context of modern coachbuilding.
