Fiat Bravo 2400 HGT Granturismo

The Fiat Bravo 2400 HGT Granturismo is a unique concept car developed in 1996 by the Italian coachbuilder Maggiora. Based on the Fiat Bravo platform, this one-off prototype was designed to showcase a high-performance variant of the Bravo, emphasizing both enhanced styling and increased power. Carrozzeria Maggiora, known for its collaborations with various Italian automakers, crafted the Bravo 2400 HGT Granturismo with distinctive body modifications. These included a more aggressive front fascia, side skirts, and a rear diffuser, all contributing to a sportier appearance compared to the standard Bravo models. The concept was equipped with a 2.4-liter five-cylinder engine, delivering approximately 185 horsepower, coupled with a manual transmission. This powertrain aimed to provide improved performance characteristics over the production Bravo HGT, which featured a 2.0-liter engine producing around 147 horsepower. The interior of the Granturismo concept was also refined, featuring sport seats, unique trim elements, and upgraded materials to align with its grand touring aspirations. Despite its potential, the Fiat Bravo 2400 HGT Granturismo remained a singular prototype and did not proceed to mass production. The 2400 HGT Granturismo stands as a testament to Carrozzeria Maggiora’s design capabilities and serves as a notable example of 1990s Italian automotive design experimentation.
