01 / THE STORY

History & context

The Fiat 2300S Ghia Coupe, a pinnacle of Italian design, emerged from a collaboration between Fiat and Ghia, debuting as the Fiat 2100 Coupé at the 1960 Turin Motor Show. Launched in 1962, the production model, based on the Fiat 2300 saloon, showcased a more refined and sporty design, setting a new standard for luxury coupes. Despite capturing attention and offering an appealing alternative to established brands, the 2300S Coupé Ghia faced commercial challenges, with approximately 7,000 units produced from 1962 to 1968. Powered by a 2.3-liter engine, it featured a special Abarth-tuned version with 136 BHP. The interior boasted elegance with round dash gauges, vinyl seats, and a Nardi wood-rimmed steering wheel. Though not a commercial triumph, the 2300S inspired various special versions, cementing its significance in Italian automotive history. The model eventually made way for the Fiat Dino Coupe, leaving behind a legacy of style, performance, and luxury.
