Honda NSX Tribute by Italdesign Heads to Milan Design Week 2026 After Japan Tour

After premiering at the Tokyo Auto Salon, the Honda NSX Tribute by Italdesign is set to continue a multi-stop tour across Japan before making its Italian première at Milan Design Week 2026. Officially endorsed by Honda, Italdesign describes the project as a “philological and contemporary homage” that blends the original 1990s NSX spirit with the technology and engineering language of the second-generation model—an approach the company says is intended to evolve into a few-off vehicle.
Japan tour dates: Osaka and Chiba next
The roadshow continues with two major public appearances in Japan:
-
Osaka Auto Messe — February 13–15, 2026, INTEX Osaka, Hall 3, Booth 3-B15-2 (Italdesign Booth)
-
Automobile Council Japan — April 10–12, 2026, Makuhari Messe, Chiba
Italdesign positions the Osaka Auto Messe stop—now in its 29th edition—as a natural setting for the Tribute, describing the event as a celebration of tuning and custom culture “where cars become true forms of personal artistic expression.” Between Osaka and Chiba, the car is also scheduled to appear at an exclusive luxury and bespoke craftsmanship event in mid-March, timed with Japan’s cherry blossom season.
Milan Design Week: Fuorisalone debut in Tortona

After engaging Japanese audiences, the NSX Tribute will travel to Italy for Milan Design Week (April 20–26, 2026), where it will be showcased during Fuorisalone at:
-
Opificio 31, Via Tortona 31 — RRD Space (Italdesign dedicated area)
In Milan, Italdesign says the project will be presented as a synthesis of Japanese engineering culture and Italian aesthetic sensibility, framing the reimagining of an icon as a meeting point between tradition and innovation.
Italdesign CEO: “A deep bond with Japan”
Antonio Casu, CEO of Italdesign, calls the tour a way to highlight the company’s long-standing relationship with Japan and its automotive culture:
“This tour was born from the desire to tell the story of our deep bond with Japan and its culture… It’s a precious opportunity to get even closer to a community that lives the automobile with genuine passion—just like we do.”
Casu also underlines the NSX’s symbolic role in supercar history—an icon that “challenged European supercars with a new, distinctive approach”—and links the Milan finale to Italdesign’s broader identity and capability, describing the NSX Tribute as an expression of “Being Project”: end-to-end design, engineering excellence, prototype development, co-creation with OEM partners, and artisanal few-off craftsmanship.
With its next stop at Osaka Auto Messe in just days, Italdesign invites enthusiasts to follow the project “step by step” as the NSX Tribute’s story continues to unfold.
