- Manufacturer heritage and independent Volvo histories directly support the 1954 PV444-based Elisabeth II as a single Vignale-built aluminium prototype. Michelotti designed the first Elisabeth; Volvo's own history says Wennberg claimed to have revised that original design for Elisabeth II. Michelotti is therefore retained only as candidate/derivation context, not documented sole author.
