01 / THE STORY
The Aspark Owl Roadster is an open-top electric hypercar developed for Aspark by Manifattura Automobili Torino (MAT) and unveiled in Lyon in 2025. It extends the Owl programme with a removable roof configuration while retaining the carbon-fibre construction and four-motor electric drivetrain of the coupé. The Roadster preserves the Owl’s low silhouette. The body is made entirely from carbon-fibre reinforced plastic and incorporates aircraft-inspired honeycomb structures. The Roadster uses falcon-wing doors, a two-seat left-hand-drive layout and an open roof with an emergency umbrella-style soft top. Ground clearance can be adjusted between 80 and 160 mm, with low, high and ramp settings. Luggage capacity is 50 litres. The cabin combines exposed carbon fibre with Alcantara upholstery, while colours, leather and stitching can be specified individually. The car measures 4,792 mm in length, 1,935 mm in width and 1,001 mm in height, or 1,036 mm in its raised setting. The wheelbase is 2,757 mm. Kerb weight is quoted at 2,050 kg, while dry weight is 1,900 kg. Power comes from four permanent-magnet synchronous motors driving all four wheels. Combined output is rated at 1,953 hp (1,456 kW), with total motor torque of 1,920 Nm. Aspark states that actual vehicle output is limited by battery delivery capability and control systems. The Owl Roadster uses a 69 kWh lithium-ion NMC battery with a maximum voltage of 801 V. The quoted driving range is 250 km. Charging from 20 to 80 percent takes around three hours using the 22 kW onboard charger, or approximately 45 minutes with 100 kW fast charging. Claimed performance includes 0–60 mph in 1.72 seconds, 0–100 km/h in 1.78 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 4.76 seconds and 0–300 km/h in 9.74 seconds. The unrestricted top speed is stated as 413 km/h, although customer vehicles are limited to 350 km/h for tyre durability and safety. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres measure 265/35 ZR20 at the front and 325/30 ZR21 at the rear.
