JAS Motorsport Announces First Supercar: Tensei – The Rebirth of an Icon

Tokyo, November 2025 – JAS Motorsport has officially announced the name of its first-ever production supercar: Tensei. Meaning “rebirth” in Japanese, the name reflects the project’s mission — to reinterpret the spirit of the first-generation Honda NSX through modern design, advanced engineering, and racing-derived technology.
The JAS Tensei was revealed privately to a select group of clients during an exclusive event hosted by SPS Global Ltd, JAS’s Asian sales partner, at Fuji Speedway earlier this month. The presentation marked the global debut of the name and concept before its full unveiling, scheduled for 2026.
Built on the philosophy of the original NSX, the Tensei aims to revive the timeless formula that made the 1990 model an icon: lightweight construction, precise balance, and an intimate connection between driver and machine. The car will combine JAS Motorsport’s three decades of competition expertise with a new carbon-fibre body and interior designed by Pininfarina.
A Modern Reinterpretation of a Legend
The Tensei project represents JAS Motorsport’s transition from a world-class race constructor to a limited-series road car manufacturer. Every aspect of the car will be engineered to deliver performance and precision rooted in racing, while maintaining the refinement expected from a modern Gran Turismo.

While full technical details have yet to be released, JAS confirmed that Tensei will feature motorsport-derived mechanics, cutting-edge materials, and the latest technologies in chassis development and aerodynamics. The company also emphasized that the car will remain faithful to the analog engagement and purity that defined the first NSX.
The JAS Tensei will be produced in limited numbers at the company’s Arluno facility near Milan, with deliveries expected to begin following its global debut in 2026.
