The Glickenhaus SCG 003S is the road-going version of the SCG 003, developed for Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus after the competition SCG 003C. The letter S stands for Stradale. The car was presented at the 87th Geneva Motor Show in 2017. The SCG 003S was developed by MAT – Manifattura Automobili Torino. Camal Studio collaborated with MAT on the road-homologated version, adapting the original racing concept for street use. The car retained the main design theme of the SCG 003C, but received changes required for road approval, comfort and usability. The structure was based on a carbon-fibre chassis. The body kept the low front section, wide stance, large air channels, rear aerodynamic elements and compact cockpit layout of the racing car. For the Stradale version, the lighting system, glazing, interior trim, access, finish and road equipment were revised. The aim was to keep the character of the competition model while making the car usable on public roads. The SCG 003S used a high-performance twin-turbocharged V8 engine, replacing the regulation-limited V6 of the racing SCG 003C. The engine was paired with a performance transmission and installed in a mid-engine layout. The car was intended to deliver supercar-level acceleration, high lateral grip and strong aerodynamic efficiency. Production was planned as a very limited series. Construction remained largely artisanal, with each car assembled to a high specification. Compared with the SCG 003C, the SCG 003S had a different role: it was not a race car adapted only minimally for the road, but a street version developed from the same technical base.
