THE STORY

Overview

Carrozzeria Sirio was established in Novara around 1947, initially refurbishing trolleybuses and adapting surplus vehicles after the Second World War. The firm subsequently built bodies for buses, trolleybuses and some passenger cars.

In 1950 Sirio bodied Alfa Romeo 900 trolleybuses supplied to Naples and Salerno. Specialist sources place the end of its activity around 1960. The exact foundation and closure dates remain to be confirmed from corporate records.
