THE STORY

Overview

Carrozzeria Emilia was an early coachbuilding venture associated with Enzo Ferrari in Modena. The workshop is documented at Via Jacopo Barozzi 5 by 1921, when it undertook bodywork for motor vehicles and omnibuses. Among the period evidence is an Alfa Romeo 20-30 ES carrying its identification.

Historical research places the workshop’s activity into 1922, before Ferrari’s better-known subsequent ventures. The evidence establishes activity by 1921, but does not establish an exact foundation date or a definitive closure date.
