THE STORY

Overview

Carrozzeria Caprera was a Turin coachbuilding and body-finishing workshop. It initially assembled and painted body shells for other manufacturers. In 1959 it presented its own Fiat 600-based models, the Capri spider and Amalfi saloon. Later work included Fiat 600 T-based commercial vehicles and bespoke finishes for production cars.

The Ragno coupe, based on a Fiat 500 F chassis, was built for the 1969 Turin Motor Show. The 1959 date marks Caprera’s first documented own-model programme, not the foundation of the workshop.
